Laila Hussain is a dedicated Registered Dietitian and educator with a master's degree in clinical nutrition from Rutgers University. With extensive experience in renal nutrition and medical nutrition therapy at Fraser Health, she excels in patient-centered care, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As a Langara College instructor and former UBC adjunct professor, Laila has developed engaging curricula for nutrition courses. A regional representative for BC for the Canadian Association of Nephrologist Dietitians, she strives to advance renal care by supporting dietitians in research and professional practice. Passionate about nutrition assessments, she advocates for a “hands-on” approach to evaluating muscle mass and functional status, inspiring future dietitians through mentorship and professional development.
